Description

This previous bug has led me here: http://bugs.elinux.org/issues/137

We have a BeagleBone Black configuration currently running 4.1.13-ti-r33 using UART2 & UART4. The device tree can be found here: https://github.com/leearmstrong/dtb-rebuilder/blob/4.1-ti/src/arm/am335x-boneblack-emmc-pf-overlay-pps.dts

We had issues with the BBB hanging when UART2 was under heavy load until we added the following lines to our overlay.

&wkup_m3 {
    status = "disabled";
};

&wkup_m3_ipc {
    status = "disabled";
};

The BBB would simply appear to hang/power off. The serial debug cable attached became unresponsive. All USR LEDs extinguished but the PWR and NIC LEDs were still active. I could not get any response from the kernel to get logs etc. On power up again the logs were void of any error and it looked like a power off of the BBB.

I can replicate this pretty frequently by generating a heavy load. Happy to share other config if needed.

I wasn't sure where to log this bug but after discovering an issue before with this I thought someone here might find it useful?
