Description

There is a problem with the zeroconfig DNS announcement. With the previous Debian release, the system was available with the automatically generated host name beaglebone.local. However, this name is not announced in the new release. Further, listing the available services with systemctl --type service lists the hostname service as failed, which presumably would cause issues with the multicast DNS announcement.

The hostname command works, but if you try to connect remotely, e.g. ssh , you will get an unknown host error. This works in the previous Wheezy and Angstrom releases.

Oh God!

Please don't use the "tester" image, it's setup for Pre-C (2GB eMMC) boards to do "cape" testing, nothing else, nothing more...

Test the "weekly" lxqt image here:

http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBoneBlack_Debian#Jessie_Snapshot_lxqt

These are what becomes the "official" jessie release..

Then you probably should pull it off the "Latest Images" page. I got it from [[http://beagleboard.org/latest-images]]

Jason Kridner controls that page..

What is the link I should use to get the latest, stable, Debian Jessie build?
