Cannot disable systemctl services (Bug #47)

Target version:-

I have the stock version 01/10/2014 running on eMMC.

Issuing 'sudo systemctl [start|stop|status] lightdm.service' works fine, but

'sudo systemctl disable lightdm.service' fails with:
"Failed to issue method call: No such file or directory"

apache2.service fails the same way. Have not tested others.

Just adding a quick note, with "wheezy" systemd is not the default, so things are very early, and not everything is completely setup to be controlled by it..

Were those services even enabled in the first place?

Good Point Jason, these services are started by the old init script.

Is this still a valid bug?

As of 2014-05-30 on system installed from BBB-eMMC-flasher-debian-7.5-2014-05-14-2gb.img the bug is still valid:

root@beaglebone:~# systemctl disable 'lightdm'
Failed to issue method call: Invalid argument
root@beaglebone:~# systemctl disable 'lightdm.service'
Failed to issue method call: No such file or directory
root@beaglebone:~# systemctl status lightdm.service

lightdm & apache in Debian Wheezy are not native systemd services, thus these will fail. (they are started in /etc/init.d/xyz)

lightdm: fixed: lightdm (1.10.0-3) unstable; urgency=medium (Therefor Jessie)

  * debian/lightdm.service:
    - add systemd service file, thanks Martin Pitt for the work.closes: #733220

Whereas apache is still only a systemv script in Debian.
